The association is comprised of a diverse membership of professionals in education and community/agency programs of physical activity and recreation. AAPAR seeks to increase public awareness and support for lifelong physical activity and recreation programs through continuing education for professionals conducting programs across the lifespan. Our main purpose is to serve professionals by disseminating guidelines, standards of practice and providing continuing education based on evidence-based research.
