Long before we became involved in Glider Rider™, we were happy customers ourselves. Or, to be more specific, it was our sons, Benny and Toby, who were zipping around enjoying the Glider Rider™. On their second birthday their Oma brought home these two curiosities . Within weeks they were riding on the Glider Rider™ along the sidewalks and paths of Cologne, Germany.

A walk in the park, which sometimes took hours with the twins, quickly became another perfect opportunity for them to glide down the hills, both feet off the ground, exploiting gravity in a way no other vehicle for that age group could possibly do. We watched in amazement as their self-assurance and sense of accomplishment grew everyday!

In our pre - Glider Rider™ days, for example, a short trip to the market with our sons was often a trying experience--nothing short whatsoever. It swiftly turned into an excellent chance to explore before meal time. In fact, the twins became so attached to their rides that they insisted (as only two year olds can) that we stash the Glider Rider™ in our luggage and bring them over to America.

We spent the first few weeks in Florida “glider-riding” around the parks and playgrounds of our neighborhood. On these trips we were stopped by curious people in the street over and over again. Parents, children, everyone started asking about this novel, uniquely-styled little vehicle. When the owners of toy and design stores in our area started chasing after us to find out where they could get Glider Rider™ we knew we had something really special.
